Full name: Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment

Description: Reading (Gr 3-8,10), Mathematics (Gr 3-8, 11), Science (Gr 5,8,HS). The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) is an annual state test that help districts measure student progress toward Minnesota’s academic standards and also meet the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The Reading and Mathematics MCA are the primary assessments Minnesota uses for ESEA accountability.
